Both the L5508D1A and L5508D1AP units are 8 channel CBus dimmers, but the L5508D1A has a built-in power supply.
This provides 200mA of power to the CBus system which is used to power the various switches and sensors.
Generally, on CBus part codes the ‘P’ denotes that the unit is non-powered.
